I've made several attempts to analyse the meaning of this painting but each time I do, I get the same answer - stop trying to make sense of everything, take a deep breath and just allow what is about to take place (and be sure to keep your mind out of the way).  Something wondrous certainly awaits on the other side of the portal but for now it remains an enigma.
